シャルル・アナスタスの一本一本の繊細なラインで描かれるイラストには、リアルなだけでなく、極細の線で描かれるからこそ表現される優しさ、そしてセンシュアリティーを感じさせられる。

パリをベースに活躍している彼は、世界のファッション業界において最も注目を集める若手デザイナーの一人。
2001年よりイラストレーターとしてのキャリアを歩み始め、それ以来数々のデザイナーや雑誌へのイラストの提供や個展も盛んである。
カルバン・クラインやA.P.C等とのコラボレーションも記憶に新しい。
この常に次なる動向を見守られている彼が、2002年より開始したオートクチュール・コレクションに引き続き、2004年からはテーブルウェアも展開し始めた。

かねてよりギリシャ陶器に強く惹かれていた彼は、まるでギリシャ陶器に描かれるギリシャ神話の絵のように、身の回りの出来事をスケッチしたものをティーカップに描き、その繊細なスケッチに見合う薄く丈夫な陶器は、フランスはリモージュの最も洗練された高度な技術を有する工場を選んだ。

うねりを描く草花と絡み合わせられた顔や体のスケッチは、見る者をおとぎ話の世界へと誘い込み、テーブルの上にどこか懐かしく優しくそして甘い物語が広がる。

日常の何気ない食事の時間も、午後のティータイムも、喧騒から逃れた本当の和みを 取り戻せる一時になるに違いない。 （text / erin）
